Revillagigedo Island, is not just a hard word to pronounce, but also a hidden gem in the heart of Mexico’s remote marine protected area! This breathtaking destination is known for its stunning volcanic islands and an abundance of marine life that makes every dive an unforgettable experience. At Carlu Dive Travel, we regularly explore these waters, and each trip reveals new wonders beneath the surface.

Imagine swimming alongside a pregnant whale shark measuring an impressive 13 to 14 meters! Diver Pablo was super lucky to get up close to this gentle giant! Our divers have encountered numerous species of sharks, including silver tips, Galapagos sharks, grey reef sharks, silky sharks, one tiger shark, and even schools of hammerhead sharks. The thrill of diving amongst these magnificent creatures is unparalleled.

Diving at Revillagigedo Island offers a unique experience, regardless of the dive site—be it Rocca Partida, Soccoro Island, or San Benedicto. Each location showcases the remarkable diversity of marine life that thrives in this protected environment.

Every dive reveals schools of vibrant fish, such as trevally and sweetlips, creating a dynamic underwater ballet. On some occasions, we’ve been accompanied by majestic oceanic manta rays, dolphins, adding an extra layer of excitement to our dives. The experience of swimming alongside these intelligent creatures is nothing short of magical.

Another highlight of our Mexico trips is the exceptional quality of food served on our boat. We confidently say it’s the best food of all our trips, ensuring that our divers are well-fueled for the adventures ahead.

Diving at Revillagigedo Island is a distinct experience compared to other destinations, primarily due to its remoteness. While the journey may require some travel time—so don’t forget to pack a good book for the ride—it is absolutely worth it. The difference in the marine life found in a protected area is evident; while you may not see the vibrant colors of coral reefs typical of other dive sites, the pelagic life here is extraordinary.
