In 2024 we embarked on an unforgettable adventure to the stunning islands of Tonga. We are excited to announce that we will be returning in 2025 for another round of exploration and incredible experiences!

Tonga is renowned for its breathtaking marine life, particularly the majestic humpback whales that migrate from the icy waters of the South Pole to the warm, nutrient-rich feeding grounds of Tonga. This migration spans an astonishing 5,000 miles and occurs annually between June and October. During this time, you have the unique opportunity to swim with these gentle giants up close, witnessing their beauty and grace in their natural habitat.

Our small group adventure allows you to experience the thrill of swimming alongside these magnificent creatures. You may encounter singing males, nurturing mothers with their calves, and, if you're exceptionally lucky, witness a spectacular heat run – a breathtaking display of whale behavior.

Unlike our typical dive trips, this journey focuses on snorkeling and freediving, making it accessible for everyone. You don't need to be a certified scuba diver, but comfort in the water is a must. Our excursions usually last around seven hours on the water, where we explore the stunning underwater caves that Tonga has to offer. These caves vary in accessibility, from easy entry points to advanced caves that require breath-holding skills for exploration.

Safety and respect for marine life are our top priorities. Our boat operator holds a special license that allows us to approach the whales while adhering to strict guidelines, such as limiting the number of people in the water to enhance the experience for everyone involved.

Join us as we navigate the crystal-clear waters of Tonga, where the thrill of encountering humpback whales meets the serenity of the ocean. Our underwater cameras captured breathtaking moments during our last trip, and we can't wait to share these images with you!

The Tonga humpback whales are not just a sight to behold; they represent a unique migration that underscores the importance of marine conservation. Witnessing these incredible animals up close is a reminder of the fragile beauty of our oceans and the need to protect them.
